This April, over 25,000 participants took to Oklahoma City's streets to run in the 15th annual Memorial Marathon. The much-loved event occurred just a week after the 20th Anniversary of the Oklahoma City Bombing, memorialized by many Oklahomans as well as former president Bill Clinton. Before participating in the marathon, every runner had to make a stop at the Health & Fitness Expo to pick up their number and t-shirt. Hundreds of vendors filled up the Cox Convention Center from Whole Foods to Red Coyote for the runners to peruse.

This year, C4K was honored to be a part of this HUGE event. Since every runner has to walk through the Expo, we were delighted to get the chance to talk about our mission and meet other organizations and new supporters. We had a total of 8 donation bins throughout the Expo and our team spent both days walking around talking about the C4K mission.

We are proud to report that not only did we receive sports equipment and shoes for low-income student athletes but we also were featured on 107.7 The Franchise as well as Channel 9 News!

C4K would like to thank the team at the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon for allowing us to participate in the Expo this year as well as each of the runners who epitomize the Oklahoma Standard of service, honor, and kindness.
